Latinx Heritage Month 2020!
Latinx Heritage Month pays tribute to the generations of Latinx Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our Nation and society. This month also honors five of our Central American neighbors that celebrate their independence in Sep. The theme "Los colores" is centered around the different skin tones that a Latinx individual can have, and more importantly, embracing and celebrating the Latinx identity regardless of the shade of skin.
This celebration has become a vital opportunity to dispel ignorance, prejudice, and fear through education about multiculturalism and the history of countless contributions of those in the Latinx community.
Below you will find a calendar of virtual events to help celebrate Latinx Heritage Month, scan the QR square with your smart phone to register for the events you would like to attend. If you have any questions about these events please contact Morgan Russell, Associate Director of Multicultural Affairs.
